Competing with Egyptian Universities, Tanta University Gains the Fourth Rank According to the Report Issued by the General Authority of Adult Education in 2021/2022

The General Authority of Literacy and Adult Education announced that Tanta University gained the fourth rank competing with Egyptian universities for educating 31816 illiterate persons according to the report issued by the authority in the fiscal year 2021/2022.

   Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, affirmed that the university has made a great breakthrough in literacy compared to other Egyptian universities based on the university’s strategy and its pioneering role in achievement of sustainable development goals and Egypt’s vision 2030 in addition to participation in the presidential initiatives such as “Illiteracy-Free Egypt”.

    Moreover, Prof. Mahmoud Salim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, indicated that community service sector has a significant role in solving community problems and developmental issues. He pointed out that literacy is given a high priority; therefore, University Council has made many decisions to eradicate illiteracy.
