• Gharbia Governor grants Tanta University President Governorate Shield as the university won Egyptian Government Excellence Award  
• University Council honors the outstanding personnel in appreciation of their efforts.  

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, chaired the monthly meeting of University Council in attendance of Prof. Tarek Rahmy, Gharbia Governor; Prof. Fouad Harras, former President of Tanta University; university vice presidents, deans of faculties, Judge\ Kheiry Emara, Legal Advisor of the University; and Accountant\ Ahmed Rashad, University Secretary-General.  

  University President asserted that Tanta University as one of Egyptian institutions which seeks to improve its sustainable development strategy as part of Egypt’s strategy 2030. 

   He added that the university plays a pivotal role in fields of education, scientific research, community service, and environmental development. He declared that the university formulated its new quinquennial plan that enhances Egypt’s vision 2030. In addition, a high priority was given to supporting the presidential initiatives of financial inclusion, digital transformation, and development of resources.   

    Furthermore, he stated that Tanta University possesses many outstanding cadres whose efforts helped the university to accomplish a lot of achievements such as establishment of 900 900 Hospital, listing this hospital as one of the Egyptian national projects, gaining the first rank in literacy as the university helped to educate 12525 illiterate persons in Gharbia governorate, and occupying the second rank in Egyptian Government Excellence Award in 2020 at the level of Egyptian universities. 

   Prof. Tarek Rahmy, Gharbia Governor, granted Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, Governorate Shield as the university won Egyptian Government Excellence Award. He highlighted the significance of this award as it enhances effective competition and encourages all institutions to develop and digitalize the services they offer to citizens according to Egypt’s vision of sustainable development.  

    It is worth noting that Tanta University Council under chairmanship of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki honored Prof. Mohammed Ibrahim, Dean of Faculty of Law; Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, Acting Dean of Faculty of Arts; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Institutional Performance; Prof. Mohammed Al-Nemr, Manager of the Main Center for Electronic and Cognitive Services; Prof. Reda Al-Basyouni, Manager of Systems Development Unit at the University; Prof. Walaa Arakib, Manager of International Distance Education Center; Mr. Atef Ibrahim, General Manager of the General Administration of Organization and Administration and the General Coordinator of Egyptian Government Excellence Award; and Mr. Mohammed Shafik, Manager of Media Documentation Unit; in appreciation of their strenuous efforts.
