Tanta University Continues to Achieve Top Positions in the 52nd Edition of the Martyr El-Rifai Tournament for Egyptian Universities


Tanta University President announced that the university’s Wushu (Kung Fu) team secured third place (Men/Women) after winning a total of nine medals — 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze — during the 52nd edition of the Martyr El-Rifai Tournament for Egyptian Universities.


Student Seif El-Din Mohsen won the gold medal in the 75kg weight category, Islam Magdy Al-Bayaa won the silver medal in the 56kg category, Anwar Sherif Anwar secured the silver medal in the 85kg category, Mohamed Mostafa Sabry earned the bronze medal in the 60kg category, and Adham Mohamed Farghaly won the bronze medal in the +100kg category.


On the women's side, the university team achieved third place nationally, with Habiba Amgad Mohamed winning a gold medal in the 56kg category, Roufaida Marwan Khaled winning gold in the 80kg category, Iman Mohamed Amer securing a silver medal in the 65kg category, and Iman Saad Abu El-Yazid earning a bronze medal in the 60kg category.


Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated the students for their outstanding achievements, expressing his pride and appreciation for their heroic performances and the honorable level they demonstrated, which reflects the spirit of discipline and determination among the university's students. He reaffirmed his ongoing support for sports activities, emphasizing their essential role in shaping students’ personalities and fostering a spirit of challenge and perseverance.


It is worth mentioning that the students' participation was supervised by Prof. Magdy Mahmoud Kawk, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, Mohamed Abdel Rahim El-Qasir, General Director of the General Administration of Student Welfare, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim El-Sheikh, Director of the Sports Activities Department, Hany Asr, Outdoor Activities Supervisor, Captain El-Sayed Abdel Aziz, Team Coach, Captain Ahmed Abdel-Hamid El-Nahhas, Assistant Coach, and Mohamed Fathy El-Koush, Team Supervisor.
