Tanta University President participated today (Saturday) in the regular meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, chaired by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the attendance of Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Council, and the Council’s esteemed members, held at Hurghada University.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Council extended congratulations to H.E. the President of the Republic, the Armed Forces, and the Egyptian people on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day, expressing gratitude to the President for his unprecedented support of the higher education system in Sinai.
During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education directed universities and institutes to prepare for the second semester examinations for the current academic year, to intensify awareness campaigns for students about the challenges facing national security, to enhance Egypt’s role as a leading destination for international students, and to increase support for students with disabilities by fostering their talents and capabilities to boost their participation in university life.
The Council also congratulated H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Armed Forces, and the Egyptian people on the 43rd anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day, and expressed gratitude to the President for his continuous support of the higher education sector in Sinai. Over the past decade, Sinai has witnessed unprecedented progress with the establishment of public, national, and technological universities, and the introduction of modern academic programs aligned with the development needs of Sinai, with total investments amounting to EGP 23 billion.
Additionally, the Council extended its congratulations to Tanta University President on the issuance of the Republican Decree appointing him as President of Tanta University, wishing him continued success and further progress and prosperity for the university.
