Tanta University President Inaugurates Final Phase of Biology Building Renovation at Faculty of Science

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, inaugurated today the final phase of the renovation and maintenance works of the Biology Building at the Faculty of Science. The inauguration was attended by Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Amgad Salem, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Zeinhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hossni Doweir, Director of the Center for Research and Engineering Consultations, and Prof. Mohamed Abou Helal, Deputy Director of the Center, along with a number of faculty members.


Prof. Hussein emphasized that the completion of the renovation reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and providing an outstanding educational and research environment. He stated that this initiative is part of a broader university-wide plan to upgrade facilities across all faculties and departments, aiming to raise the quality of education and scientific research in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.


He added that upgrading laboratories and lecture halls is a top priority for the university, and the renovation of the Biology Building is designed to keep pace with the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field of biology, offering a suitable environment for students and researchers to conduct advanced experiments and research.


For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din stated that the renovation included upgrading the infrastructure, renewing laboratories and lecture rooms, and equipping them with the latest scientific instruments and equipment. She added that lighting and ventilation systems were also improved to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. These enhancements, she noted, will significantly improve the quality of teaching and research in the department and open new avenues for collaborative research with other institutions.
