1800 Patients are Examined at Tanta University’s Convoy in Kafr Kela Albab Village

   Tanta University’s medical convoy organized in Kafr Kela Albab village located in Santa district in Gharbia governorate examined 1800 patients. These words were declared by Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Daboun, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. He indicated that the convoy was held as part of the university’s program under patronage of Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khalek Khalil, University President, aiming to offer health care services in remote and deprived villages and districts of the governorate in cooperation with civil society institutions such as Health Affairs Directorate, Education Directorate, Social Solidarity, Environment Affairs Authority in Middle Delta, and the General Authority of Adult Education.

    Furthermore, Prof. Mohamed Daboun indicated that professors from faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Agriculture participated in the convoy where 1813 patients were examined and were given medicaments for free. He added that some cases were transferred to University Hospitals.

     The convoy included a symposium on early detection of cancer. Moreover, a literacy exam was held for 45 persons in the village. Financial aids, each one of 100 EGP, were distributed to 100 persons as well as 100 blankets. Pensions of 450 EGP each were allocated by Social Solidarity to 6 families.
