In cooperation with Tanta University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces organized an educational visit for a student delegation from the university to the Paratroopers Forces Command. The visit included 50 students from various faculties, held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and supervised by Colonel Mostafa Abu Karam, Director of Military Education at the university.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that the visit aims to foster patriotism and strengthen students’ sense of belonging to their homeland and its armed forces. He noted the university’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to witness firsthand the heroic role of the military in safeguarding national security and stability. Observing field training and learning about the preparedness and efficiency of the paratroopers instills in students values of discipline, dedication, and national pride.
He further highlighted that such visits reflect the university's vision of offering a holistic educational experience that goes beyond academics to include national and social awareness. These experiences are essential for developing a generation that is conscious of its responsibilities and proud of its identity and nation. Prof. Hussein also expressed his appreciation to Mr. Mohamed El-Kassir, Director General of Student Welfare, for the diligent efforts of the department in organizing such important national field visits involving students from various faculties.
The visit began with a welcoming address by the paratroopers’ leadership, followed by a presentation on the history, roles, and key missions of the Paratroopers Forces. The students were then taken on a field tour to explore the advanced equipment and training methodologies used to physically and mentally prepare paratroopers to the highest standards of efficiency and discipline.
The students expressed their deep admiration for the high level of professionalism, organization, and morale demonstrated by the forces, and conveyed their gratitude and appreciation for the armed forces’ role in protecting the nation.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Tanta University delegation extended heartfelt thanks to the Paratroopers Forces Command for the warm reception and excellent organization. The students expressed their desire to participate in similar visits in the future, emphasizing the positive impact such experiences have on enhancing national awareness among youth.
