Graduation Ceremony of the 53rd Cohort – Faculty of Science, Tanta University

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, attended the graduation ceremony of the 53rd cohort of the Faculty of Science, named after Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Azim El-Sebaey, former Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The ceremony was held in the presence of His Eminence Bishop Paula, Metropolitan of Tanta and its districts, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Amgad Salem, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Salah El-Nady, Secretary General of the Syndicate of Scientific Professions, along with former deans of the faculty and members of its teaching staff.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that his presence today in the Faculty of Science is an honor, given the distinguished academic and administrative figures it encompasses, who are a source of pride in every forum. He affirmed that the Faculty will continue to be a beacon of knowledge and a cradle for minds that, over 57 years, have achieved countless accomplishments and charted the roadmap for a brighter future for this esteemed university. He added that throughout its history, the Faculty has been distinguished by its precise and highly important specializations, in addition to its unprecedented excellence in research, which has placed it among the leading faculties rich in outstanding scholars and researchers.


The University President extended his gratitude and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this achievement, and to the teaching staff and their assistants, who spared no effort in guiding and educating students. He also saluted the parents, who endured hardships with tireless effort and sacrifice, staying up countless nights and offering everything precious so that their children could reach this milestone. He noted that graduates are now entering a new stage of giving, as they represent the nation’s workforce and the intellect of its future.


For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din expressed her joy at celebrating this occasion with the Faculty’s students, describing it as the culmination of their dedication and perseverance throughout their studies. She extended her gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support and encouragement, stressing that science is the foundation of progress and development, and that these graduates are the children of this nation, capable of achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing global competitiveness. The Dean added that today marks the beginning of a path filled with opportunities and responsibilities, urging students to face challenges with the knowledge and skills they have acquired, and to continue forward with patience, determination, and perseverance. She also conveyed her appreciation to the teaching staff and administrative team for their time and effort in ensuring the success of the educational process, which has culminated in today’s achievement.


During the ceremony, the Faculty’s Shield of Honor was presented to Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University; Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; His Eminence Bishop Paula, Metropolitan of Tanta and its districts; Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Azim El-Sebaey, former Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Salah El-Nady on behalf of the Syndicate of Scientific Professions; Prof. Mohamed Atef Noweir, Head of the Scientific Syndicate in Central Delta and one of the Faculty’s pioneers; Prof. Samir Zaki on behalf of the Public Service Center; Prof. Mohamed Gamal El-Din, Emeritus Professor of Geology; Prof. Zeinab Ali Atiya, Emeritus Professor of Zoology; Prof. Mohamed Khaled Hassan Awad, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry; Prof. Nabil Kamal El-Feki, Emeritus Professor of Zoology; Prof. Ahmed Mostafa El-Sheshtawy, Emeritus Professor of Geology; and Prof. Hoda Kamal Ahmed Salem, Emeritus Professor of Zoology. The ceremony also included honoring the graduates and presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
