Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, met today with Prof. Wiebke Bachmann, Director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Cairo, to discuss avenues of mutual cooperation between the two sides. The meeting took place on the sidelines of his participation in the workshop “Developing Transnational Education,” organized by the DAAD Regional Office in Cairo.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that the meeting was fruitful and constructive, reaffirming Tanta University’s commitment to strengthening its international partnerships, particularly with leading academic and research institutions such as DAAD. He explained that this aligns with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing to the enhancement of the university’s regional and international standing. He added that the partnership with DAAD will open new horizons for students and faculty members to enrich their academic and research experiences and help prepare graduates capable of competing locally and globally.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein presented the university’s shield to Prof. Wiebke Bachmann as an expression of appreciation for her efforts and for DAAD’s continued role in supporting international academic cooperation.
