The Popular and Military Defense Forces, in collaboration with Tanta University, organized a field visit for 300 male and female students to the third edition of the EDEX-2025 Defense Industries Exhibition. The visit comes as part of Tanta University’s commitment to fostering values of loyalty and national belonging, and to introducing its students to the efforts of the Egyptian Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation’s security and stability. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, explained that the field visit to EDEX-2025 aligns with the university’s mission to build an aware and responsible generation, and to instill patriotism through knowledge and exposure to the tremendous efforts and sacrifices made by the Egyptian Armed Forces to ensure Egypt’s security and stability. He emphasized the university’s keenness to enable students to witness the remarkable advancements in Egypt’s defense industries and the outstanding capabilities of its people in protecting their homeland, highlighting the importance of such visits in shaping university students into active partners in building the nation’s future.
During the visit, the students toured the various halls of the exhibition and explored the different pavilions showcasing Egyptian military industries as well as those of participating countries. The students expressed their great satisfaction with this unique experience, which allowed them to closely observe the latest defense systems of the Egyptian Armed Forces. They affirmed their pride in the significant role played by the Armed Forces in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its resources.
The visit was organized as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance student activities, events, and field visits that contribute to raising awareness among young people and developing their personalities. The program was supervised by Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Mohamed El-Kosseir, Director-General of the General Administration of Student Welfare; and Prof. Omar Abdel-Fattah Khalil, Director of the Scouts and Camps Administration.
