After Two Doctors Win First Place at the National Level in the Clinical Cases Competition: Tanta University President Congratulates Outstanding Physicians at the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospitals

Prof. Mohamed Hussein,  Tanta University President, announced that two physicians from the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Faculty of Medicine won first place nationwide in the Clinical Cases Competition held during the “Egy Derma Conference” and the “DMC First Mediterranean Conference.”
Assistant Lecturer Prof. Mai Tarek Amin won first place among participants from 10 Egyptian universities in the Clinical Cases Competition at the 3rd Egy Derma Conference, held in Cairo on November 21, 2025.
Resident physician Prof. Aya Ahmed Gamal El-Din secured first place among participants from 8 Egyptian universities in the Clinical Cases Competition at the 1st DMC Mediterranean Conference, held in Alexandria on November 28, 2025.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated the winning physicians, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the outstanding scientific level of the medical professionals at Tanta University. He highlighted that the university places great importance on supporting scientific research and active participation in international conferences and academic events, which contributes to enhancing physicians’ skills and improving the quality of medical and educational services provided. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to adopting a comprehensive approach to supporting young talents, aligned with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and strengthening the university’s position on the scientific research map.

For his part, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that this accomplishment by the distinguished physicians of the Dermatology and Venereology Department is a qualitative milestone that reflects the effectiveness of postgraduate programs and research training at the university. He stressed that innovation in presenting clinical cases and excellence in discussion are the essence of applied scientific research, reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting young researchers and physicians in participating actively in local and international conferences.

Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, expressed his great pride and satisfaction with the exceptional performance of the young doctors from the department, led by Prof. Dalia Shaaban. He added that this achievement reflects the department’s excellence and the faculty’s leadership in the medical field. He emphasized the faculty’s commitment to providing all forms of support to young doctors across various specialties, with the primary goal of fostering a motivating and supportive environment for excellence, innovation, and talent development, ultimately preparing a generation of young professionals capable of elevating the reputation of the university and the faculty in both national and international competitions.
