Tanta University President Announces Launch of a New Digital Application to Develop the Medical Administration System

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, announced the successful design and launch of an innovative graduation project by a team of students from the Faculty of Computers and Information. The project introduces an integrated digital application dedicated to medical administration services under the Education and Student Affairs Sector.


Prof. Hussein emphasized that this achievement comes within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Egypt’s Vision 2030 toward comprehensive digital transformation. He noted that Tanta University adopts a clear strategy to encourage students to develop technological solutions that serve their peers and contribute to digitizing university services, transforming them into an integrated smart system.


The Tanta University President expressed his great pride in this accomplishment, which reflects the high competence of Tanta University students and their ability to apply academic knowledge in serving the university community. He extended his sincere appreciation to Prof. Nancy El-Hefnawy, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information; Prof. Omnia El-Barbary, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and supervisor of the application project; Prof. Mohamed El-Nemr, Executive Director of the Central Electronic and Knowledge Services Center; and Prof. Amr Mahmoud, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration.


Prof. Hussein also praised the participating students—Alaa Abdelkader Shaheen, Eman Abdel Fattah Shehata, Asmaa Hassan El-Nenny, Mohamed Salah Sabry, Mohamed Walid Shebl, Soheila Ramadan Salama, and Esraa Hesham Eid—describing them as a distinguished model of innovative university youth.


In the same context, Prof. El-Sayed Abdel Azim, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, commended the students’ achievement, noting that it reflects the university’s commitment to activating effective participation and digital transformation. He highlighted that this initiative directly contributes to improving the efficiency of healthcare services provided to students and demonstrates the importance of cooperation between scientific faculties and service administrations.


For his part, Prof. Amr Abdel Monem Mahmoud, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration, confirmed that the digital system represents a qualitative leap in healthcare service mechanisms for university students. He explained that the administration provided full support to the student team to ensure the application meets actual student needs, facilitating service booking and medical file tracking with accuracy and ease. He also praised the university leadership’s support for adopting this advanced approach, which saves time and effort while ensuring data accuracy.
