He emphasized that this achievement reflects the collective efforts of the university’s faculties, praising the pivotal role played by students in combating illiteracy, noting that their contribution represents the main driving force behind this success and embodies a strong sense of social responsibility toward the nation.

Prof. Hussein further explained that the university’s strategy places a primary focus on digital literacy, in alignment with the state’s comprehensive digital transformation plan. He stressed that these efforts are consistent with the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Egyptian Citizen,” which aims to integrate state institutions to provide a quality of life worthy of Egyptian citizens. He also commended the full support provided by the General Authority for Adult Education in overcoming all obstacles.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein also praised the significant efforts exerted by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service, affirming that community engagement represents a national responsibility shared by all university faculties. He revealed that the university has begun establishing specialized centers to measure societal impact, aiming to produce accurate scientific reports and studies assessing the effectiveness of university initiatives, thereby providing decision-makers with realistic data to enhance service efficiency for citizens.

Prof. Selim explained that the Community Service Sector’s ambition has extended beyond traditional literacy since the launch of the Digital and Technological Literacy Initiative, which includes training citizens on basic technological skills, principles of artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity awareness to protect personal data. He added that 2,000 government administrative employees have received digital literacy certificates through the university’s training centers.
