Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated in the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, chaired by Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, and the Council members, at Cairo University.

   According to a statement from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister directed during the meeting the continuation of the development of university hospitals to improve the health services provided to citizens, the acceleration of the comprehensive automation and digital transformation of work systems within universities, the development of the performance of faculty development centers to ensure the achievement of their assigned goals, linking university research plans to the challenges facing different geographical regions, and the continued implementation by universities of the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, with a focus on innovation and the knowledge economy, and maximizing the use of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank to support the scientific research system in Egypt.
