URAP Ranking

The University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) is a ranking issued by a non-profit organization established in 2009 at the Informatics Institute of the Middle East Technical University. The ranking was developed to address the need of higher education institutions to assess their academic achievements compared to their peers, encouraging sustainable progress that aligns with their goals and benefits their students.
The URAP methodology is based on six indicators that measure academic performance. As a performance-based ranking, research publications form the core of its methodology. It evaluates both the quality and quantity of publications, as well as international research collaboration. URAP relies on several well-known and reliable data sources, including research platforms such as Web of Science (Clarivate – InCites).
